The Rolling Stones, "The greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world" did everything a band could possibly do. They topped Singles and Albums chart a lot of times, set attendance record at concerts, went in and out of jail, got drug busted, went high and dropped low.....
But they did one thing most bands can't do. They went on. The Stones rolled on. Despite all that they had to go through, despite failed marriages and the burden of old bones and stiffer competition at every generation, they did it.
Today the reputation of the band has not diminished. It is still the best band ever to many. This is not any other band. They are the blueprint, the example, the definite band.
